Beta processing notice · 16 October 2026

This notice explains automatic Instagram processing in the Wantt 0.9.1 private beta. It replaces the previous placeholder for this feature. It is not a complete account of every Wantt feature; the broader privacy policy is still being completed before public launch.

What happens when you save

Wantt uses its servers and external services to identify Places, Things to try and prices from public Instagram posts and Reels you choose to save. Automatic results can be incomplete or wrong; you can review and change the selected Place.

The processing may use the saved public URL, caption, author or venue names, public location information and an available transcript, together with candidate business names and addresses. Your private notes are not included in this automatic enrichment. Public posts can still contain personal information; do not submit private or sensitive material for this feature.

Services involved

Retention and overseas processing

Wantt retains saved source information, extracted results and processing records to deliver your saved items and diagnose problems. A fixed beta retention period has not yet been established. Removing an item in the app must not be assumed to erase every server record, backup or provider log immediately. For deletion requests, use the beta feedback channel described on our support page.

External services may process information outside Australia. Their content, operational-log and legal-retention rules differ. Wantt does not promise that every provider keeps no data or uses no service telemetry. The links above describe the providers' published terms; this notice does not certify individual account settings or replace those terms.

Your choices

Please read this notice before using the automatic-processing beta. If you do not want public source details sent to these services, do not submit new Instagram links or retry enrichment, and contact us through your beta feedback channel. There is no separate per-save AI opt-out in this beta. Questions, access requests and deletion requests can be raised through the same channel.
